Bibliotherapy is an effective counseling tool that uses books to help children process and work through social and emotional concerns. The experience of reading to a child establishes a comforting bond that helps even the most resistant child feel at ease. Whether the counselor or the child chooses it, the book is used as a springboard to explore the child’s issues or concerns. A wisely selected book can put words to issues when children cannot. Children come to understand how others cope with painful and challenging situations and thereby develop their own coping skills.

Life Lessons for Little One’s book list is divided into twelve categories making it easy to locate the perfect book for your presenting problem.
